Front Suspension
Control arm to K-member pivot bolts/nuts:
- 1979-1981 – 200 to 220ft-lbs
- 1982 – 215 to 260ft-lbs
- 1983-1985 – 150 to 180ft-lbs
- 1986-1993 – 110-150ft-lbs
Control balljoint to spindle nut:
- 1979-1982 – 80 to 120ft-lbs
- 1983-1986 – 100 to 120ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 80 to 120ft-lbs
Strut upper mount to body nuts:
- 1979-1986 – 62-75ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 50 to 75ft-lbs
Strut to upper mount nut:
- 1979-1982 – 60 to 75ft-lbs
- 1983-1986 – 55 to 92ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 50 to 75ft-lbs
Strut to spindle nuts/bolts:
- 1979-1985 – 150 to 180ft-lbs
- 1986-1993 – 140 to 200ft-lbs
Rear Suspension
Upper control arm to frame pivot bolt/nut:
- 1979-1980 – 70 to 100ft-lbs
- 1981-1982 – 100 to 110ft-lbs
- 1983-1986 – 100 to 105ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 80 to 105ft-lbs
Upper control arm to axle housing pivot bolt/nut:
- 1979-1980 – 70 to 100ft-lbs
- 1981-1986 – 90 to 100ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 70 to 100ft-lbs
Lower control arm to frame torque box pivot bolt/nut:
- 1979-1980 -70 to 100ft-lbs
- 1981-1982 – 100 to 110ft-lbs
- 1983-1986 – 100 to 105ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 80 to 105ft-lbs
Lower control arm to axle housing pivot bolt/nut:
- 1979-1980 – 70 to 100ft-lbs
- 1981-1986 – 90 to 100ft-lbs

Steering Torque Specs
Tie-rod end to spindle arm nuts:
1979-1993 – 35 to 47ft-lbs
Steering gear mounting bolts/nuts:
- 1979-1985 – 80 to 100ft-lbs
- 1986-1993 – 30 to 40ft-lbs
Intermediate shaft to steering gear input shaft pinch bolt:
- 1979-1985 – 20 to 30ft-lbs
- 1986-1993 – 20 to 37ft-lbs
Intermediate shaft flange to steering gear clamp nuts:
- 1979-1993 – 20 to 30ft-lbs
Intermediate shaft to steering column shaft nut/bolt:
- 1979-1989 – 35 to 45ft-lbs
- 1990-1993 – 38 to 54ft-lbs
Steering wheel nut (or bolt):
- 1979-1986 – 20 to 35ft-lbs
- 1987-1993 – 23 to 33ft-lbs
Airbag module nuts: 36 to 48in-lbs
Wheel lug nuts: 80 to 105ft-lbs
